Affordable Analyzer Developed for Molecular Testing


BioCode 2000 Analyzer is the newest member of the Applied BioCode BMB Analyzer family. Although the working principle is similar to that of the BioCode 1000A, this analyzer has been developed for affordability and with molecular testings in mind. Following the reaction, the barcodes and the fluorescent signal of the beads are detected once the beads settle to the bottom of each well. Up to 128 analytes can be tested in each well.

BioCode 2000 Analyzer has an XY translational stage to rapidly scan the entire microplate. The CCD camera reads the barcode using bright field imaging and quantifies the analyte by reading the fluorescence signal intensity. Cy3 and phycoerythrin (PE) are common fluorophores used for analyte quantification; other fluorophores can also be accommodated by simply switching optical filter sets. BioCode-2000 Analyzer software displays the barcode and fluorescence intensity for each BMB in a user friendly report.
